cherokerain brought me a pretty new blue plastic sled (we'd left the other one behind when we moved), but she won't sled, on account of having busted her head sledding as a kid. I mean really, actually busted, as in broken skull bones. Went to the Renton Library today to return a book (Seannan Mcguire's 'A Local Habitation', in case anyone's curious. It's awesome. I'm on the list for the next in the series). I walked the dogs out across the soccer field/dog park last night; it was past dusk, and just after a thunderstorm. Clouds rolled across the sky, and occasional strobe flashes of lightning arced from cloud to cloud, accompanied by grumbles and booms. I'm on the plane headed back to VA to finish packing and wrap up loose ends. After this, we drive our stuff and critters to Seattle, and while I expect I'll return from time to time, it won't be 'home' any longer. That will be the place we make together in the Emerald City, which has been calling to me for years now.

Today I finally got up the rest of the wayward lemon balm (leaving only the original plant). And finally started gardening in earnest; the front garden, anyway. I haven't yet touched the veggie patch, except to purchase some stepping stones, mulch, seeds and a couple plants.
